Las armas de La Torre de Londres

En la torre blanca de Guillermo el Conquistador dentro de La Torre de Londres se encuentra una exposición muy interesante, la de las armas que han utilizado en diferentes épocas los soldados de Inglaterra, son todas unas obras de arte y muchísimas de ellas todavía funcionan. Hay armas que datan desde la prehistoria, de la edad de bronce, la hierro, de la antigüedad clásica, la edad media, la moderna y hasta la oriental.
También tienen en exhibición una colección enorme de armaduras, cascos de los siglos XVI y XVII, aaaaah y no olvidemos la hermosísima armadura de Enrique VIII, que cuando la ves inmediatamente te das cuenta que perteneció a un rey.
Todas las piezas son súper impresionantes, tienen muchos detalles increíbles, y la forma como están acomodadas en la exhibición Se nota que se esforzaron mucho al montarla y el resultado es excelente.
No cabe duda que los ingleses han sido excelentes herreros desde siempre.

Inside The White Tower at The Tower of London is a very interesting exhibition, there are a lot of weapons that the English soldiers had been using through the history of the kingdom. All of them are works of art and a lot of them still work. There are weapons from prehistoric age, from the bronze age, the iron age, from the classic, the medieval age, modern age and even oriental weapons.
On this same exhibition there are also a big collection of armors and helmets from the XVI and XVII centuries, Ooooh and let's not forget about King's Henry VIII gorgeous armor, as soon as you see it, you know it was made for a king.
All the pieces are so beautiful, they have tons of details and the way they sort all of them, you can tell they made a huge effort and the result is amazing, they all look great.
Without a doubt English men had been excellent blacksmiths since always.

Un pequeño recordatorio de la fallida conspiración de la pólvora, en la cual un grupo de católicos ingleses planeaban matar a los reyes James I de Inglaterra y James VI de Escocia, a su familia y a la mayor parte de la aristocracia protestante, afortunadamente fueron descubiertos a tiempo evitándose la masacre y el levantamiento de los católicos. Desde entonces cada 5 de Noviembre en Gran Bretaña (y en algunos otros países) se celebra este fracaso con muchos fuegos artificiales y en donde se quema también una efigie de Guy Fawkes, principal conspirador. A esta festividad se le conoce como "La noche de las hogueras" o "La noche de Guy Fawkes".

A small reminder of the Gunpowder plot on which a group of provincial English Catholics where planning the assassination of kings James I from England and James VI from Scotland with their families and most of the protestant aristocracy. Fortunately the conspirators were discovered on time thus avoiding a big massacre and the uprising of the rebel Catholics. Since then every 5th of November Great Britain (and some other countries) celebrate the failure of that plan, by firing tons of fireworks and burn an effigy of Guy Fawkes, (the main conspirator that time) this festivity is known as "Guy Fawkes Day", "Bonfire Night" and "Firework Night"
