Halloween Horror Nights 2013

Este evento lo hacen cada año en los parques de Universal Studios, tanto en Florida como en California, en los Estados Unidos, lo inauguran a mediados de Septiembre y lo clausuran a principios de Noviembre. Cada año los parques tienen los mismos temas pero cada parque lo acomoda diferente o le cambian algunas cosas. Pero, ¿qué es? Bueno pues si te gusta el tema del Horror, este evento es de los más importantes en este género.
Lo principal son las casas de terror, siempre hacen 8, cada una sobre una película o tema de terror diferente, vas recorriendo la casa que es como un laberinto y te van saliendo todos los mosntruos o asesinos relacionados al tema de esa casa, suena muy simple, ¡pero vaya que te asustan! La decoración, ambientación, maquillaje y vestuario de los actores esta hecho por profesionales del cine, en el 2013 una de las casas era de Hombre Lobo Americano en Londres y el mismísimo director de esa película (John Landis) fue a supervisar que la casa llenara sus estándares de calidad, hasta había varios animatronics que por supuesto se veían muy reales. (Como nota aparte ese mismo año fué el aniversario número 60 del programa "Doctor Who" y como homenaje en una sección de la casa montaron una TARDIS tamaño real y por supuesto acompañada del icónico policía de la serie, que por cierto también te asustaba, ¡eso estuvo genial!)
Lo malo de las casas es que esta prohibido tomar fotografías o video, ni siquiera sin flash, y constantemente están revisando que no lo hagas, claro que hay forma de hacerlo a escondidas, pero como no quiero problemas, no lo he hecho (hay vigilancia por todas partes tanto privada como polícia normal).
En el parque en sí la experiencia también es increíble, ya que hay actores distribidos en diferentes zonas y cada zona tiene un tema de alguna película o programa de terror y que sólo están esperando que te distraigas para asustarte, es muy divertido ver como, sobre todo las mujeres, se la pasan gritando aterradas cada vez que las asustan.
Todos esos días el parque normal cierra a las 5:00 o 5:30pm más o menos y lo reabren ya como Horror Nights más o menos a las 6:30pm.
Algunas recomendaciones son:
Si sólo vas por pocos días, compra el pase Express, aunque tengas que pagar más, vale la pena porque de esa forma no tienes que hacer las filas enormes en cada casa, me tocó ver que en algunas había que esperar hasta 3 horas para poder entrar y aunque cierran unos días a la 1:00am y otros a las 2:00am no alcanzas a ver todo en una noche, en cambio con el Express solo tendrías que esperar a lo mucho 30 minutos para entrar, alcanzas a ver todas las casas en una noche, y hasta tienes tiempo para entrar otra vez a alguna que te haya gustado, o entrar a las atracciones normales que estén abiertas, que son muchas y muy buenas.
Dentro de todo el parque venden alcohol, el evento es recomendado para mayores de 13 años, está prohibido entrar con bebidas o comida, (te revisan en la entrada), también esta prohibido tocar a los actores, así como ellos tampoco te tocan en ningún momento.
Si sigues estas pequeñas reglas te vas a divertir muchísimo y vas a gritar hasta quedar sin voz, lo digo por experiencia jajaja.

This event is every year at both Universal Studios theme parks in Orlando and California, on the United States. It opens in the middle of September and finishes early on November. Every year both parks have the same themes but they put it together in a different way, so if you have the possibility to visit both, you will see some different things.
But what is it? All I can say is that if you love all Horror this is one of the most important events in the genre, so is a MUST for you.
The main event are the horror houses, the last two years had been 8 in total, but this year they just announced there will be 9 houses! Each house has a movie, TV show or anything related to Horror, this might sound simple but believe me, they scare the hell out of you! the decorations, the actors make-up and wardrobe, and all the sets are made by professionals who have years of experience on movies, TV shows so you can imagine the level of quality you see there. On 2013 one of the houses was "An American Werewolf in London" and John Landis went there to see if all the things inside that house had the quality for his approval, (as a side note, that same year was the 60th anniversary of Doctor Who and as homage they put a life size TARDIS along the iconic policeman from the show, who by the way was there to scare too, hahaha that was so awesome!)
The downside inside the houses is that is not allowed to take pictures or video of any kind, and there's people everywhere making sure you won't, of course you could sneak in a camera, I haven't done that because there's police everywhere and I don't like trouble.
At the park itself it's also an amazing experience because is divided into 5 sections and every section with different horror theme, there's actors all over the place dressed as horror characters so you can get scared in every corner.
During Horror Nights time the regular park closes at 5:00pm or 5:30pm and is reopen at 6:30pm or 7:00pm as Horror Nights looking completely different.
If you are going just for a few days I recommend the Express pass, no matter if you have to pay extra, (trust me, is worth it) the lanes in all 8 houses are insanely large, sometimes you have to wait up to 3 hours to get into one house, with the Express pass you wait like 30 minutes at the most, giving you enough time to see all the houses in one night and even see one or two twice, also the coolest rides are open at night so you might have some time to get into those as well.
Halloween Horror Nights is not recommended for kids under 13 years old, the make-up and all the ambient is so well done that maybe a kid could get real scared. Food and drinks are not allowed when you enter the park son make sure you don't have any of those.
Another important point is that you are not allowed to touch any of the actors just as they are not allowed to touch you at any time.
If you follow these very simple rules you are going to have a blast, and you are going to scream like crazy until you lose your voice, believe me, is the experience writing! LOL

Esta casa era en 3D, te daban lentes antes de entrar y estaba increible, el tema era de un asesino condenado a la silla electrica y regresaba a vengarse, habia cosas con efectos en 3D en todas partes aunado a que te salia el asesino a cada rato, todo el trayecto era confusion pura, ¡muy impresionante!
This house was so awesome! it was about a murderer convicted to the electric chair it was on 3D, everything inside was so confusing, bodies hanging from the ceilings, the killer scaring you almost every corner, things everywhere, bright colors, it was so impressive! So trippy! One of the best houses I've ever seen!

Esta casa era exactamente como en el video juego, la misma ambientación y hasta la forma de moverse de los personajes, así que a veces tenías que pasar entre fuegos cruzados, era muy original y el maquillaje genial

This house was exactly like the video game, even the characters acted just like in the game, in some parts you had to go through crossed fire so it was very exciting, very original and the make-up amazing!
