Sweetwater Hammock Preserve

Sweetwater Hammock es una reserva ecológica que se encuentra en Port St.Lucie, Florida, Estados Unidos. Tiene 400 metros de caminos para recorrer el lugar, también cuenta con mesas para picnic, acceso a canoas, pesca, y observatorio de aves. Desafortunadamente nosotros lo visitamos una semana y media después de que el huracán Matthew azotara la Florida, por lo tanto, varias partes del camino estaban inundadas, nos adentramos hasta donde pudimos, pero no fue muy lejos, me hubiera encantado llegar hasta el final, ya que en la entrada hay un poster que dice que se pueden observar muchas especies de animales.    

Sweetwater Hammock is a natural reserve located on Port St.Lucie, Florida, in the US, it has a quarter mile of trails to enjoy the place, also there are picnic tables, canoe access, bird watch, and fishing is allowed too. Unfortunately we visited a week and half after hurricane Matthew stroke Florida and in some parts the trail was flooded, so we couldn't get to the picnic area, and we only walked a little bit before we had to go back. It was a pity because the poster at the entrance says you can see many animals inside the reserve.

Otra cosas digna de mencionarse son ¡Los mosquitos! No sé si es porque había llovido mucho o porque el lugar es una selva, pero es importante llenarse de un buen repelente antes de ir, a nosotros no se nos ocurrió algo tan lógico y pues nos devoraron jajaja, pero ¡VALIÓ LA PENA! el lugar es muy hermoso.

Another thing worth mentioning are the mosquitoes! I don't know if it was because it rained a lot or because is a jungle but is it very important to use a very heavy coat of a good repellent, we didn't think of such a logical thing and we paid the price: been eaten alive by tons of them, hahaha. But let me tell you, IT WAS WORTH IT! the place is gorgeous.
